Welcome to the West Lumedia Musicworks.JPG

Lumedia Musicworks presents Welcome to the West, a baroque spin on fiddling tunes, cowboy poetry, and ranching history in an exhilarating portrayal of the American West. This virtual concert film production consists of contemporary footage of Texas ranch life, as well as historical ranching footage from the Library of Congress.

Musical selections stretch over 300 years with sonatas, concertos, traditional fiddling, folk tunes, and 1940s western swing and are accented by contemporary and historical film and photographs. A truly Texas ensemble of instrumentalists, vocalists, and videographers are joined by Cowboy poets from Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, and Texas.

Welcome to the West is available to audiences worldwide. There will be on-screen titles, subtitles, and an accompanying digital program with notes on the production.

The performance will be available on-demand through December 14.
